Project Description:
Volunteer Job Descriptions Registration and Pre-Registration Work with ATC Staff as directed to facilitate registration process. Greet guests; direct conference at-tendees to appropriate areas; hand out tote bags, directory, etc. Workshop Monitor Arrive at least 20 minutes before workshop begins; verify that the workshop panel sign is correct. In-troduce yourself to workshop moderator as the volunteer. If an award is to be given to any of the speakers, make certain the moderator knows where the award is located. Place speaker name tents on head table; distribute handouts; monitor doors and lights; remain in room throughout entire ses-sion. At least one volunteer must be in the room at all times. At end of session, collect 1 copy of each speaker’s speech and bio (if available) and deposit in file in ATC Office. Report any problems to Vol-unteer Coordinator. ATC Office Volunteer check-in point; act as “Bodyguard” for Office. Answer phones; send faxes; deliver mes-sages; answer questions, etc. There must be one volunteer in ATC Office at all times. Greeter (Lobby and Entrances) Welcome guests, help them check-in, provide info and directions; assist with translation as needed. Floater Periodically check in with exhibitors and offer assistance with whatever is needed. Answer questions; point conferences attendees in the right direction. Luncheon/Dinner Monitor Arrive 1 hour before lunch to assist in set-up. Monitor entrances, check and collect tickets, help with questions and seating. Book sales Assist with AFOT Book Sale: keep inventory; maintain organization of book table; help as directed by head of AFOT Book Table. Press Works with and monitor Press; ensure things run smoothly with press. Plenary Session Assist with seating; make sure reserved seats go to individuals Networking Sessions Assist with seating; provide info and directions. Cultural Reception Collect tickets; help with seating
